Crown Thinning

Reduces the density of the tree's crown without altering the overall shape of the tree. As well as allowing more light to pass through the tree, it reduces branch weight and reduces wind loading upon the limbs of the tree which helps reduce damage by heavy winds and storms.

Crown thinning does not reduce the height of the tree.

Crown Lifting or Crown Raising

Crown lifting is also referred to as crown raising and is an effective technique that involves selectively removing the lower branches of a tree, allowing more light to reach the ground and creating a cleaner, more spacious appearance. This service is necessary if your trees lower branches are causing obstruction eg vehicle or pedestrian access, or encroaching on buildings.

Crown Reduction

Crown reduction is carried out to reduce the height of the tree and/or the spread of the crown, for example, to reduce the effects of shading and light loss.

Not all species are suitable for this treatment and crown reduction should not be confused with 'tree topping’, an indiscriminate and harmful treatment.

Crown cleaning is also known as 'dead wooding' and is the process of removing damaged, diseased,  dying or dead branches and foliage from the crown of a tree. This procedure not only enhances the tree's aesthetic appeal but also improves its overall health and safety.
